1. Introduction & Mission Statement

Manha constitutes a digital platform established for African storytellers and readers to share and discover literary works featuring mostly african protagonists across genres historically underrepresented in digital spaces. My mission centers on fostering creative expression while maintaining a respectful community environment that celebrates African narrative traditions. Despite that the community welcomes all users who love reading and writing and encourages everyone to write too.

By accessing or utilizing the Manha application, you automatically acknowledge and agree to abide by these Community Guidelines in their entirety. Continued use of my services constitutes acceptance of any modifications to these terms. These guidelines apply uniformly to all users irrespective of their role as authors, readers, or commentators within the platform.

2. Age Restriction & Protection of Minors

Manha services are exclusively available to individuals aged 16 years or older. By accessing my platform, you expressly represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement. The application may contain content unsuitable for younger audiences, and I enforce this age restriction in compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant German youth protection statutes.

3. Prohibited Content & Activities

3.1 Illegal Content

Content that promotes, normalizes, or glorifies sexual violence, pedophilia, necrophilia, zoophilia, domestic violence, or any other unlawful activities.

Expressions of racism, colorism, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, or other protected characteristics.

3.2 Harassment & Cyberbullying

Targeted attacks, threats, or harassment directed toward other users.

Privacy violations or network security breaches.

Publication of private individual information without explicit consent (doxing).

3.3 Security Violations

Transmission of malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.

Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise interfere with application functionality.

Any activity that compromises, damages, or disrupts application data or network infrastructure.

3.4 Additional Prohibited Activities

Unsolicited commercial communications, spam, or fraudulent activities.

Financial transactions or monetary solicitations between users.

Sharing of personal contact information or physical addresses.

4. Expected Behavior & Community Standards

Users are expected to:

Engage in respectful communication, even when expressing criticism.

Provide constructive feedback regarding literary content rather than personal attacks against authors.

Utilize appropriate tagging and categorization to facilitate content discovery.

Respect the creative contributions of all community members.

4.1 Copyright & Intellectual Property

Authors retain full intellectual property rights to their original literary works. Third parties must obtain explicit permission from the original rights holder before distributing content elsewhere. I recommend that authors specify translation and distribution permissions within the first initial chapter to clarify usage rights.

5. Enforcement Procedures & Consequences

Violations of these guidelines are treated with utmost seriousness. My enforcement protocol operates as follows:

5.1 Reporting Mechanism

Users may report violations by submitting screenshot evidence to my designated communication channels (@manha_read on Instagram or meritretms@gmail.com), including the username of the allegedly violating account.

This all depends on the grade of offense.

5.2 Progressive Enforcement Measures

First violation: Formal warning and content removal.

Second violation: Temporary account suspension or permanent account termination.

5.3 Appeal Process

Users believing they have been wrongfully penalized may submit appeals through my official communication channels, providing detailed explanations accompanied by supporting evidence. All appeals receive an impartial review.

7. Legal Framework & Notices

As a service provider under § 7 of Germany's Telemedia Act (TMG), I assume responsibility for my proprietary content. For user-generated content, liability attaches only upon obtaining knowledge of violations.
