Introducing Manha

Manha is a blend of mostly Manga, Manhwa, and Manhua -with a black african protagonists and elements at the heart of most stories. It's a new novel form, I made up. If you want to write read the Guide

Why I created Manha

Although there are many reading sources available, it is hard to find them with a Black African main character. Especially in genres like rebirth and transmigration. This is completely understandable, as many writers, write stories with their own image and representation in mind. I created Manha those stories can be found in one place and motivate people to write them. Especially stories that don’t always revolve around racism but just them existing and living. Not every writing medium has to even have it in there, Manga, Manhua, Manhwa and more is just them living without it being always central and we know that Asians face their own problems. Everyone, regardless of borders, is welcome to read and write stories in tune with their culture and ideas. Many stories like Game of Thrones and other fictional stories bring a new world to life, that didn't exist before. You're welcome to experiment. Look for information if you want to portray a culture you know, or make it wholly fictional. You need to read the instructions if you plan to write for Manha specifically, as it's a mix of many elements and not a copy of Manhwa and Manhua clichés.

For readers.  Avoid the following clichés❗️It’s supposed to have new elements not just repackaged old clichés.

Romance

1.1 It's not Reverse harem if the woman stays with one man. Reverse Harem means one woman is with 2 man.

1.2 Past wrongs don't just disappear. In many stories, abuse committed by often the husband and family is immediately forgiven by the main character (MC) although no apology or change happened. Why is the new MC loved?

2. Don't call it a love triangle if the end ship is clear. The second lead with no chemistry and a late introduction.

3. Why do women need to get dumbed down, useless and weak the moment they fall in love with the main character?

4. Dense characters can be endearing but too much is annoying. How can the most obvious romantic moments like a confession or a kiss be mistaken for hate?!. It gets to a point ❗️

Transmigration & Rebirth

❗️Stop creating time traveling pedophiles. The body may be 15y old but the mind is 30. So why is a 30y old in love with 15y old child and younger?

1. There are other ways to die than by a truck. You can be creative. Like a deal...

2. The MC doesn't always have to be an orphan with no friends, who never experienced any kindness in life. They can have all that. Most strangers are nice. Most people have friends and miss them when lost.

3. How does nobody ever question the MC who suddenly knows all even more than professionals in their field.

4. How do all those MC's read those stories before rebirth, but never understand that them entering a new world, already changed the plot. Their different personality already changed the plot.

5. Even villains and bad people in real life have (genuine) friends.

6. No personality, no motivation, no character growth, no struggle when they train. Why do all women fall in love with the MC although he does nothing? He is not like other men but exactly like other men. Give your MC a personality.

7. Women shouldn't purely exist to make the male characters look good and shouldn’t only exist as a motivation to get stronger for the male characters.

Breaking Stereotypes

1. A black woman growing her hair out long and trying different hairstyles breaks more stereotypes than having her only have short hair or wigs.

2. A black woman being allowed to be soft or fragile breaks more stereotypes than having her be a strong and tough manly black woman. We don't hear the same about other women. Why can't she be protected by others and allowed to lean back sometimes? The same counts for our men, they should be allowed to trust others.

3. A black woman being protected and comforted by others breaks more stereotypes than her having no one to look out for her but herself. Why should she only know struggle and no peace at all.

4. A black woman character being considered pretty or cute by other characters breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character being considered unattractive or just sexy. People like different things — some like cute outfits, makeup, goth, sexy…

5. Women all face a specific set of problems only women deal with and some depend on the ethnicity. What is empowering to a European woman may be different than to an Asian, African, or American woman since the stereotypes about each are different.
